Oh, crud. The old mind switch trick. Took me a while to get it, though. Is this another lesson or something?

X-heketchis (Guest), February 11th, 2011, 9:12 am

This should be intresting

Actully is that item really in game or somthing you made up?

Klonoacomics, February 11th, 2011, 9:12 am

You read my comic before this?

Shadow322 (Guest), February 11th, 2011, 3:18 pm

This is going to be goooooooood.

Is Sonic going to take off Amy's dress?

SonicWind (Guest), February 11th, 2011, 3:57 pm

Definitely made up.

@ X-heketchis The sprite for that power-up box is apparently tucked away in the game data (because I've seen it on multiple sprite sheets) but I have never seen it in the game. I have no idea what it's supposed to do, so I came up with an idea.

stpcomics, February 11th, 2011, 4:21 pm

@ Klonoacomics If you're asking whether I got the idea from you, I assure you I did not. I didn't even know you had a comic until you mentioned it.

Klonoacomics, February 11th, 2011, 4:58 pm

Why cuz i look like a guy who dosent have sprite comics? [awkward stares]

stpcomics, February 11th, 2011, 5:08 pm

@ Klonoacomics No, because I don't know you. I didn't even think of the word "comics" in your name until after I made that post, so yes, I'm an idiot in that sense.

Iceman404, February 12th, 2011, 1:38 am

S-Monitors are supposed to instantly make you hyper, and are blue (not red). The ARE however, accessible through debug mode with S3&K.

stpcomics, February 12th, 2011, 2:03 am

@ Iceman404 As I explained in an earlier comment, I did not know what the intended effect of the power-up was, because I had never seen it in play before (I never played S3&K in debug mode). In my sprite sheet of game items I found three S-monitors: a blue one like you mentioned, this red one, and a reversed blue one.

And doesn't the shoe power-up also make your character hyper? If so, why the two kinds of power-ups?

AngelCam7 (Guest), February 12th, 2011, 1:11 pm

I believe he means Hyper as in "All Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds collected to become Hyper Sonic, Super Tails, or Hyper Knuckles."

But getting to the comic... What... just happened? Did thier brains get switched?! If that is the case, shouldn't Amy's font be blue and Sonic's be pink?

Lessen the confusion that way. :D

stpcomics, February 12th, 2011, 3:30 pm

@ AngelCam7 Yes, their brains got switched. I was planning to make that more clear in the next comic.

I did contemplate the idea you said. If I used tails on my talk bubbles, then I could do that, but since I position the bubbles so that they're read in the intended order and not necessarily near the person speaking, it'd be hard to follow.

One thing I want to add in regards to Klonoacomics' comment, the idea of Sonic and Amy switching bodies or having a gender change to one or the other has been used heaps of times, just sayin'

sonics1030, December 8th, 2012, 8:45 am

Explanations: Just so you know, If you use the blue monitor in debug mode, you instantly became Hyper Sonic, Super Tails or Hyper Knuckles and gained 50 rings in S3&K. In Sonic 3 alone (without S&K) or S&K alone (without Sonic 3), that monitor was red and could turn you into Super Sonic or Super Knuckles (there is no Super Tails without the super emeralds upgrade) in debug mode. As for the reversed blue one, I've never seen it.
