With several interruptions, it took me all day Saturday to make this. Is it any wonder why I don't produce a massive 27-panel comic on a regular basis?
For those who have wondered why I spent so many comics in Launch Base and Mushroom Hill, it's because I was using backgrounds that were taken straight from the games. Besides having a lot of backgrounds to go through (because of the fast pace of the games), I was restricted to working with whatever scenario appeared next in the game, as opposed to having total freedom to write any comic script I wish and sculpting custom backgrounds to suit. I'm switching back to custom-built backgrounds for Flying Battery Zone, and I hope that yields better comics.
@Alaric Skywalker: If you've been a reader of my comics long enough, you'd know that I do something special for every 100th comic. The opportunity comes around only once every two years.
And it was no coincidence that comic 400 was the final comic of Mushroom Hill Zone. I did the same thing with comic 300 in Launch Base Zone, if you'll recall. Unless...you're making a reference to some other coincidence that I'm not picking up on. Something to do with the number 400?
@kevansevans: Allow me to clarify that point, actually. Angel Island Zone (all six comics of it) was a direct rip, and at least part of Hydrocity Zone was direct rips. It was during Hydrocity Zone that I switched to background kits and started making my own.
